Calda Pizza

Calda Pizza is originally from Cebu City and it became famous because of their humongous sizes of pizzas having the tag line "Home of the 36" Pizza." My first encounter with Calda was in Cebu a few years ago and I knew from the start that it will become a big hit. Nowadays, Calda Pizza branches are sprouting like crazy, which is good because people from other places in the Philippines are able to have that Calda experience.

But is Calda Pizza really worth it?

Palate-wise, it's okay. I will give it 3.5 out of 5, 5 being the highest. For me, aside from the size, their pizza is only delicious when freshly cooked. After some time, the taste becomes blah even if you reheat it.The crust is so thin -almost like a taco bread, or maybe thinner. And as for the prices, they actually vary depending on the place. Have a look and compare the Calda Pizza menu prices in Manila and Davao below.

So if you are going to ask me if I will go back to any Calda Pizza branch? I'd say yes because the thrill of having a gigantic pizza always tickle my fancy.
